Night 1 American Music
Cascadia Music presents our annual Spring Concert: A Celebration of American Music
Cascadia Music’s community ensembles The Pipestone Orchestra, The Cascadia Chorale and the Pipestone Youth Orchestra will perform Jazz, orchestral and folk ensemble pieces by Gershwin, Aaron Copeland, Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin and others.
Led by Director Terry Hunt, the concert will feature classic American music spanning history, genres, generations and regions of the United States from sea to shining sea. The concert will also feature performances by special guests many in the Methow Valley have not seen and heard in quite some time: Laura Love (vocals), John Weeks (fiddle) and Brian Alley (banjo). The concert promises to bring smiles, reflections, and perhaps a few sentimental tears as we celebrate American music for the ages.
Details: Two performances will be held: Friday May 8 and Saturday May 9 at 7 PM in the Methow Valley Community Center Gym. Beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
Admission is Adults $20 Advance, $25 at the door $10 Youth (5-15), Under 5 free.
No one turned away for lack of funds. Advance tickets are available
